On October 17th, HYBE released an announcement that Jin of BTS would be enlisting in his mandatory military service—with the rest of the members following soon. Therefore, group activities for Bangtan Sonyeondan will be put on pause until 2025. However, there is still plenty of new releases and content to look forward to during the group hiatus.

JIN

On October 28th, Jin will release "The Astronaut," his first solo track since "Super Tuna" in 2021. The song was co-written by both Jin and Coldplay (whom BTS has collaborated with on past projects). He will be performing this track alongside Coldplay at their Argentina concert. "The Astronaut" is currently available to pre-save here. His other solo activities can be browsed through on the BigHit website or any streaming service.

J-HOPE

J-hope recently released a new album titled More—which also featured cover art from his favorite artist Kaws. He also has some notable singles with "Blue Side" and "Chicken Noodle Soup" at the top of the list. He dropped his mixtape Hope World back in 2018. This was the first free large-scale release that any of the members had done, and it ended up on streaming services at a later date. More of his music can be seen here.

Jung Kook

Jung Kook's most notable solo to date is Euphoria, which was released on BTS's album LOVE YOURSELF 起 Wonder. His solo album has been in the works for a few years now, so there should be a release announcement coming soon. In the meantime, he posts a lot of partial songs and covers on SoundCloud and the band's Twitter account.

RM

RM has released a few solo tracks and a mixtape called "Mono" or "Monster No More"— a reference to the shedding of his stage name Rap Monster. He also released two singles—"Joke" and "Change"—unofficially before uploading "Change" to Spotify (with the original release date of 2017) alongside the new BTS World songs.

V

Taehyung has been more involved in the soundtrack scene with his features on both the Itaewon Class and Hwarang soundtracks. He also has released individual songs on BTS's albums. "Singularity" blew up on the charts when Love Yourself: Tear came out in 2018.

Suga

Suga has produced two mixtapes under the pseudonym Agust D—a self-named record and D-2. Both of which grew popular rapidly with international attention from both the K-pop and rap communities. He also produced "Stay Alive" by Jungkook and featured on Max's "Blueberry Eyes." You can listen to more of his work here.

Jimin

Jimin has released "Lie" and "Serendipity" on two separate BTS albums so far. He is one of the members who has released solo tracks on almost every single album; however, he still has not branched out for his own mixtape or album yet. He has recently been posting photos with the band's producers—leading people to speculate that his solo album is also in the works.

This has been a guide to stanning BTS while they are on hiatus. Have an amazing day.

I Purple You!
